Kyusho-in and Ryosoku-in are both sub-temples of Kennin-ji, which is the oldest zen temple in Kyoto. Sometimes I go to Kennin-ji for zazen sessions.
Unlike Ryosoku-in which can be visited any time, Kyusho-in is usually closed to public. I was glad to be able to have a look inside during a special winter opening.
The garden not only can be admired from the inside of the temple, but also strolled around, which allows to see it from different angles.
I just can’t pass by a pretty flower without taking a photo of it!
