A few days ago, I went to check the garden of Gozasho building in Sennyu-ji temple, which is situated in the south-eastern part of Kyoto, just near Tofuku-ji. Tofuku-ji is one of my favourite temples in Kyoto, but now it’s quite crowded..

Following the advice of my friend Jeffrey Friedl, I bought a polarizing filter for my photo camera. It really makes the difference! The autumn foliage colours are much brighter with it:





If you come in the afternoon, you may be lucky enough to enjoy a view marvellously clear from other visitors :
